So says emerging church philosopher Peter Rollins. Huh!? What Bible does he read:

But our God is in the heavens; He does whatever He pleases. (Psalm 115:3, NASB)

Whatever the LORD pleases, He does, In heaven and in earth, in the seas and in all deeps. (Psalm 135:6, NASB)

…having been predestined according to His purpose who works all things after the counsel of His will. (Ephesians 1:11, NASB)

That doesn’t look like God doubts at all. Perhaps Peter Rollins, and those who follow him, should read the following:

the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, being a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways. (James 1:6-8, NASB)
