Transitioning: Leading Your Church through Change, a book by Dan Southerland that is highly recommended by Rick Warren, calls those who oppose the Purpose Driven philosophy “leaders from hell.” Southerland is “the leading expert on implementing the Purpose Driven paradigm in existing churches” (Church Transitions web site), and
Warren sells his book…
Pastor Bruce C. Kalish, who interviewed Southerland, brings to our attention that Southerland’s church, "Flamingo Road is heir to the Purpose Driven Strategy of Rick Warren’s Saddleback Community Church." And Zondervan, owned by Rupert Murdoch–the man Rick Warren claims to "pastor"–further informs us that Warren calls Southerland’s book:
