From the UK’s ecumenical think tank Ecclesia:  The World Council of Churches general secretary the Rev Samuel Kobia states that new expressions of Christianity, the impact of globalization and increasing religious diversity are radically changing the shape of the church. 

Kobia stated that the WCC will only continue to function as a privileged instrument of the wider ecumenical movement.   Kobia pointed out that differing understandings of biblical truth are testing the bonds of Christian unity.  Kobia also referred to unity, common witness, and service as the "three building blocks of the WCC’s DNA" . Read the rest here.

Editor’s note:  Kobia uses the term "new expressions" of Christianity, while the Anglican Church uses the term "Fresh Expressions".  Coincidence?
