to the 8:30pm service at Mars Hill’s Ballard Campus–a former hardware store that’s been converted to a very slick worship space.
Driscoll preached from Acts 17. This was his 8th sermon in a series called Religion Saves, a series which has so far addressed the topics of Birth Control, Humor, Predestination, Grace, Sexual Sin, Faith & Works, and Dating. Tonight Driscoll dealt with the Emerging Church.
I thought he fairly represented and delineated the various streams of the emerging movement. I appreciated his bold and clear, yet humble critique of the emerging stream he views as unorthodox–that which is associated with Brian McLaren, Rob Bell, and Doug Pagitt…
