The Emerging Church, the Bible & Homosexuality: Enough with the Bible Already; Make Way for Homosexuality in Evangelicalism

The homosexual lobby of the Emerging Church within evangelicalism continues to grow louder and bolder as the Rip Van Winkles of evangelical snooze on. In this piece at Apprising Ministries we point you to a post by “Presbymergent” Adam Walker Cleveland, who was one of the contributors to the book An Emergent Manifesto of Hope edited by Emergent Church leader Tony Jones and his Emerging Church pastor Doug Pagitt.
Walker follows right in lock-step with Jones’ existential decision to reject what the Bible says in favor of his “feeling” that the practice of homosexuality is no longer sin and even one-ups him: If it is the Bible that is causing us to delay accepting and celebrating LGBT persons as being fully human and fully created in the image of God, just as they are, then perhaps we need to say, “Enough with the Bible already…”
